President Biden Gets an F on Jobs

President Biden gave a speech today touting his record on jobs. But the truth is Biden’s record on jobs falls flat.

Real wages have not kept up with inflation for 17 consecutive months. In fact, workers’ take-home pay has been shrinking. Inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings fell 2.8 percent from August 2021 to August 2022.

Many hardworking families are struggling to put food on the table and gas in their cars because of President Biden’s failed policies. The last thing this presidency has done is help workers. Why? He has been too busy kowtowing to special interest groups–especially to union bosses.

On the campaign trail, Biden declared he would be “the most pro-union president” in American history, and he delivered—at workers’ expense. This administration’s Task Force on Union Organizing and Worker Empowerment and support for the PRO Act proves that it is willing to push all workers into unions, regardless of their preference.

The Pro-Union Bosses Act would overturn right to work laws in 27 states, insulate union bosses from accountability, and subject more workers to union harassment.

Bolstering the power of union bosses and shielding them from financial transparency isn’t being pro-worker. Forcing workers to pay dues that support radical left-wing causes isn’t pro-worker.

Being pro-worker means giving workers freedom and choice. Workers should have the right to choose where their paycheck goes, what organizations they belong to, and the terms by which they choose to work.

President Biden was caught on a hot mic this week stating, “No one f–s with a Biden.” We know this isn’t true because union bosses walk all over him.

President Biden puts his radical agenda first; maybe it’s time he put American workers first.
