Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on the Department of Labor’s (DOL) flagrant overreach in its latest proposal to revoke Arizona’s State OSHA Plan:

“Like clockwork, DOL’s partisan agenda grows even more capricious—its lust for more power continues to metastasize. This errant proposal is based on a dispute about OSHA’s flawed COVID-19 health care industry emergency temporary standard, which was withdrawn on December 27, 2021. It is ridiculous that federal OSHA is going after Arizona’s State Plan for not implementing a standard that federal OSHA itself withdrew months ago.

“This is not about workplace safety. This is about control. This latest example of egregious overreach can be filed away as another shameful chapter in DOL’s abysmal track record under this administration.”
