Committee on Education and Labor Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement on the Democrats’ reintroduction of the so-called Protecting the Right to Organize Act, far-reaching, radical legislation that allows union bosses to consolidate power, coerce workers, line their own pockets, and bolster their own political agenda:
“A new Congress, but we are seeing the same ill-advised and misguided schemes being offered by the Democrats. Sweeping legislation which redraws the playing field to favor union bosses sends a clear message: House Democrats’ allegiance is with Big Labor, not workers or small businesses. As House Democrats once again cave to the demands of their union boss friends, their radical left-wing wish list assaults the rights of American workers, makes labor organizations less transparent and accountable to their members, and promotes forced unionization around the country. The Democrats’ true intentions for the complete restructuring of America’s economy are reflected in this awful bill and Republicans will continue to fight to ensure that it is never enacted.”
