Republican Leader of the Education and Labor Committee, Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), issued the following statement today after Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats passed a $2.2 trillion-dollar socialist wish list riddled with radical left priorities:
 
“While millions of Americans face unprecedented challenges, Speaker Pelosi is focused on wasting taxpayer dollars to forgive private student loans and bail out failing pension plans for select community newspapers. These Democrat objectives have nothing to do with combating COVID-19. 
 
“Instead of bringing bipartisan legislation to the House floor that will help get Americans back to work and businesses to reopen, Democrats passed a $2.2 trillion-dollar monstrosity, riddled with radical left priorities that are unrelated to the pandemic.
